To further promote the triple play
        In order to further promote triple play, the CPC Central Committee issued a resolution about ¡°CPC Central Committee¡¯s resolution on several major issues in deepening the reform of the cultural system and promoting socialist cultural development and prosperity" in October (hereinafter referred as "The resolution¡±). The resolution put forward clearly that promote the integration of cable tv network, and telecommunications networks, broadcasting and tv networks and the internet so as to meet the function of cultural transmission.
        "The country will promote the triple play to a part of public service, and bring it into the modern communication system to indicate sufficient attention on it.¡± China cable television network limited company general manager Shen Xiangjun said," In fact, China is actively promoting the development of triple play in the past fifteen years."
China and aboard has began to promote triple play in 15 years ago but result in different proceed.
        General office of the State Council formally announced the first experimental city list of triple play pilot city list in July 1, 2010 and it marks the substantial development. While most practitioners also regard this year as the initial starting of Chinese triple play.
        Apparently, Shen Xiangjun does not think so. He points out that China and the world is almost synchronous in the initial starting of triple play.
        In 1996, the United States enacted" telecommunications law amendment", and started triple play during the same period. So far is 15 years. While the international initial starting year of triple play is the same year or one year later as ¡°telecommunications law amendment" which was published United States.

He said that the triple play has achieved a lot in the international platform, including national development, technological innovation and capital scale in the 15 years, while the domestic government and the industrial chain are keep on exploring ranging from policy to technology, the industry standard to the network integration, and will continue to explore in the future.
        It is understood that the State Council executive meeting made clear the stage target in January, 2010. From 2010 to 2012, it should focus on the experiment of broadcasting and telecommunications business, and explore the policy and mechanism system of ensuring standardized triple play. From 2013 to 2015, it¡¯s necessary to sum up the experiment experience, comprehensive realize the development of triple play, popularize application and achieve the basic supervision system with institutional mechanism, clear responsibilities, smooth coordinating, scientific decision and efficient management.
15 years of policy support is never broken.
        From the concept of ¡°three networks on a platform" was established in 1997 till now is 15 years, China published many files to give strong policy service and try to lead triple play to benign development.
        As early as in 1998, our country put forward to meet" triple play" so as to avoid the repeated network construction which may cause enormous waste, and this idea was included in the national" Ninth Five-Year"," Fifteen-Year"," Eleventh Five-Year" and ¡°Twelfth Five-Year" plan.
        The State Council executive meeting officially adopts the policy of speeding up the triple play in January 13, 2010, and fulfill realizes the goal within 5 years. In July of the same year, the State Council published the first experimental area list of triple play. This is also known as the more clearly substantial progress of triple play, as well as a historic breakthrough on the view of the industry.
The high speed Ethernet of next generation is imperative.
        For telecom operators, the expansion of IPTV business is the future strategic platform, but also brought some problems. Compared with the traditional data services, video business has advantages of high bandwidth, low ARPU and growing demand.
        Business changing produces new needs, and these new needs promote technology progress and development. With the rapid development of HD video and high-speed data business, people have a increasing demand on bandwidth. The current 10GE have demonstrated its limitations. Therefore, the technology research of high speed Ethernet of next generation is very necessary. IEEE 802.3ba standard (40G / 100G Ethernet standard) has been formally approved in June 17, 2010. The first specification will use two new Ethernet rate, the two transmission rate is mainly for server and network aspect. 40GbE is suitable to server and network storage applications, and 100GbE is applied to aggregate network and core network application.
        Compared with 10G Ethernet, 40G / 100G Ethernet has a large technical upgrading, and the system structure based on 10G also had bigger improvement. Actually, the key technology is MLD mechanism.
100G have absolute advantages.
        100G Ethernet, compared to the previously one which represent the Gigabit Ethernet with highest applicability, has an absolute advantage characteristic.
        Its technology characteristics first manifested in the physical level. 100G Ethernet is a technology of only using duplex and optical fiber. The physical layer (PHY) is the same as the first layer of OSI model( physical layer), and it responsible for the establishment of a transmission medium ( fiber optic or copper ) and MAC layer connection which equivalent to the second layer of  MAC( data link layer). On the network structure model, PHY is further divided into physical media dependant ( PMD ) and physical code sublayer ( PCS ). Optical converter belongs to the PMD layer. The PCS layer is consist of information encoding (such as 64B / 66B ), serial or multiplexing and other functions.
        Secondly, 100G Ethernet technology basically followed the function of Ethernet, fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet technology, and occupied great advantage in the user penetration rate, convenience, network interoperability and simplicity. When upgrading to a thousand trillion Ethernet, users don't have to worry about the existing programs or services will be affected, and the risk of escalation is very low, at the same time it will also have the obvious advantage in the future upgrades to the 40G or 100G.
        Thirdly, 100G standard means Ethernet will have higher bandwidth ( 10G ) and farther transmission distance ( the longest transmission distance up to 40 km ).
        In fourth, the enterprise network adopts 100G Ethernet can be best to connect intranet backbone routers so as to greatly simplified the topological structure of the network and improve network performance.
        In fifth, 100G Ethernet technology provides more new features in greatly enhance QoS, and it has a certain revolutionary. Thus, it will be able to better meet the needs of network security, quality of service, link protection and other aspects of demand.
        Finally, with the deepening of network applications, the integration of WAN / MAN and LAN has become the general trend whit their applications getting a new breakthrough. While the million Gigabit Ethernet technologies find a path to both enhance Ethernet speed, operating distance and connectivity pathways. The application of 100G Ethernet technology will provide new power on triple play.
Ethernet is still away from the actual commercial.  
        Although 100G Ethernet technology has a broad business application potential, but at present there are still many problems to be solved.
        PMD is a key part of 802.3ba with a main technical difficulty in big package density, 40G / 100G light module contains a short wavelength parallel interface, and it corresponds 40GBASE-4SR and 100GBASE-10SR. The difficulty of long wavelength wave division interface is SERDES which is a part of 25 Gbit / s of PMA and packaging technology. 100G WDM light module for refrigeration laser technology is the standard technology, and its packaging form is defined as CFP instead of CFP multi-source agreement (MSA). The standard of corresponding copper media dependent interface (MDI) adopts SFF-8436 and SFF-8642, and its specific size of the structure and pin assignment is given.
        For 100G Ethernet equipment system, in addition to the technical problems related to 100G Ethernet interface need to be overcome, it also needs supporting packet processor. For the distributed mass exchange system, it also needs to solve difficulties on large capacity packet switching system chip set.
        Due to the rapid growth of service in broadband, video IPTV, business line, 3G / LTE and other data service, operators have exponentially increasing demand on business bandwidth. Transmission network is currently facing the lack of bandwidth, and 100G bandwidth has been demonstrated a higher cost and low sufficient in volume depletion on the route than the reconstruction of network. In the actual application deployment, although the major equipment manufacturers have introduced a" 100G light transmission scheme", but due to the current 100G is still in experiment and discussion stage, there are still some distance away from the actual commercial. Along with the promoting of triple play, operator has a eager demand on comprehensive business development for 100G , and it will result to accelerate the development and mature of 100G technology.
